The Center for Innovation, Research, and Creativity in the Arts (CIRCA) presents an arts alumni panel featuring Jack Wojcik ’17, visual arts, and Vagenesis ’13, theatre, who will share their post-graduation stories. Attendees are invited to bring questions about professional practices and career-building.
Jack Wojcik graduated in 2017 with a visual arts B.F.A. with concentration in animation. Following graduation, Wojcik went to Norway on a Fulbright Fellowship to develop an interactive environment for The Viking Ship Museum in Oslo based on historical objects and excavations. He then landed in California for several years, working for Brilliant.org as a designer and interactive content producer and is now working remotely from Fort Collins, Colorado.
Vagenesis is DC’s black bearded beauty; the tallest, hairiest petite woman in our nation’s capital. She started performing in spring of 2018 and has been taking the drag scene by storm. Recently, she has shared her talents across the country as the first ever National Bearded Empress. She brings her unique brand of comedy and charisma to each of her performances. Vagenesis is an activist, advocating for all styles of drag, queer people, and all people of color. She is the creator of Black Label — a showcase of black queer artistry — and promotes inclusive casting and representation in all of her shows. Out of drag, Vagenesis is known as Anderson, a maker of theatre, an acting teacher, and an outspoken non-binary activist for all marginalized peoples. Vagenesis received a B.F.A. in acting in 2013.
Admission is free. Please visit here to register for a link to the Zoom presentation.
