The Calling: Art Practice Along the Road of Changing Consciousness
Selected Readings and Commentary
Monday • 28 September 2015 at 4:30 p.m. • Kuhn Library Gallery • Free and open to the public
Drawing from her latest publications, including the new edition of This Bridge Called My Back (SUNY, 2015) and A Xicana Codex of Changing Consciousness (Duke, 2011), as well as recent memoir writings, Moraga will examine questions of the role of the art in creating and cultivating politicized consciousness. With a Q & A to follow, she will engage the audience with considerations of social responsibility emerging from deeply intimate sites of inquiry.
