On November 14th, the Faculty Working Group on International Migration will host a special lecture by Dr. Tyler Anbinder, professor of History at at George Washington University. Dr. Anbinder is a specialist in nineteenth-century American politics and the history of immigration and ethnicity in American life. His talk will be based on his new book, City of Dreams, which tells the story of New York City from the perspective of immigration, with memorable characters both beloved and unfamiliar, whose lives unfold in rich detail. This talk is sponsored by the Dresher Center for the Humanities.
