Up to $1500 for Research and Creative Projects
Location
Sherman Hall : 113
Date & Time
February 8, 2017, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Description
Undergraduate Research Awards (URAs) at UMBC provide up to $1500 to our undergraduate students to support their research or creative work with a UMBC faculty mentor on an original project. UMBC students of all years and disciplines are invited to apply as long as they remain enrolled at UMBC long enough to complete the proposed work. This is an incredible opportunity, and the faculty of the English Department would particularly like to see more of our majors and minors submitting to not only craft but also share their innovative work with the larger UMBC community.
Dr. April Householder, new Director of Undergraduate Research and Nationally Competitive Scholarships, will be hosting a workshop to show students how to write a winning URA proposal. The workshop will be held today, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at noon in Sherman Hall, room 113. Students are encouraged to register at website below as there are limited seats for this informative event.
