Markovic will speak about Pontanima, an inter-religious choir based in Sarajevo that he founded in 1996 in the wake of the Balkan war. Markovic and Pontanima have won multiple peace prizes for their work, including the Tanenbaum’s prestigious Peacemaker in Action award in 1998, the Common Ground Award in 2004, and a Chirac Foundation Award for the Prevention of Conflict in 2016.
