On Wednesday, August 2 12:00 – 1:00, George Kaplan, PhD, will present on Growing Inequality: Bridging Complex Systems, Population Health and Health Disparities, based on his just published book with Ana Diez Roux et al (see link below). The presentation is sponsored by the Program in Health Disparities and Population Health and the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. The presentation will take place in the University of Maryland School of Medicine Health Sciences Facility (HSF II) Auditorium, at 200 Penn Street, Baltimore, 21201.
A ground-breaking figure in the field of population health and health disparities, Dr. Kaplan is the Thomas Francis Collegiate Professor Emeritus of Public Health at the University of Michigan, and former director of the University of Michigan Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health. His presentation is based on his work with the Network on Inequality, Complexity, and Health that he created with support from the NIH Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the University of Michigan Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health.
