Description
UMBC’s Camerata Chamber Choir under the direction of Stephen Caracciolo collaborates with the Howard County Concert Orchestra in a program entitled “From Tragedy to Triumph!” featuring Haydn’s triumphant “Lord Nelson” Mass (directed by Stephen Caracciolo) and Dvořák’s “heart-on-sleeve” Serenade in E for Strings, conducted by HCCO Music Director, Ronald Mutchnik. Soloists will include soprano Lorriana Markovic, mezzo-soprano Janice Jackson, tenor Joseph Regan, and bass Karl Hempel.
A select choir of singers drawn from all majors of the university, Camerata performs a wide variety of works drawn from the expansive choral repertoire, including Renaissance motets, folksongs, choral-orchestral works, German part songs, Russian sacred liturgies, American spirituals, and new works.
$25 general admission, $12 students 18–24, available online here through HCCO, and at the door subject to availability.

UMBC is located about 10 minutes south of the Inner Harbor along I-95. For this event, free visitor parking is available in Lot 8, directly adjacent to the Performing Arts and Humanities Building, where Linehan Concert Hall is located — please see here for additional information.
