Description
Jeremy Armstrong is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Classics and Ancient
History at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. In addition to publishing
numerous articles and book chapters, Armstrong is the author of War and Society in
Early Rome: From Warlords to Generals (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press,
2016) and Early Roman Warfare: From the Regal Period to the First Punic War
(London: Pen & Sword, 2016). He has also edited Circum Mare: Themes in Ancient
Warfare (Leiden: Brill, 2016) and coedited Rituals of Triumph in the Mediterranean
World (Brill: Leiden, 2013) with the Egyptologist Anthony Spalinger.
