Description
The National Center for Health Statistics Research Data Center (NCHS/RDC) provides researcher access to restricted-use national survey data from NCHS surveys and other federal surveys.
This presentation by Jing Tian, M.D., Ph.D., of the Research Data Center at the National Center for Health Statistics and Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) will provide information about the national survey data and how to access it. Geared especially for faculty and advanced graduate students, information about the national survey data linked to other datasets could help broaden the scope of faculty and student research and help generate new research ideas and hypotheses.
Some of the survey data include the National Health Nutrition and Examination Survey (NHANES), National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), National Hospital Care Survey (NHCS) and National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). The RDC is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of survey respondents or establishments who provided the data while providing access to the restricted-use data for research purposes.
Lunch provided; please RSVP as "going" on the myUMBC event page for an accurate headcount.
