Flutist Lisa Cella presents a program of new music, featuring Emergent by George Lewis (for flute and electronics), Tau by Richard Pressley (with trombonist Patrick Crossland), and other works.
A champion of contemporary music, Lisa Cella has performed throughout the United States and abroad. She is Artistic Director of San Diego New Music and a founding member of its resident ensemble NOISE. As a soloist, she has performed both nationally and internationally and is a faculty member of the Soundscape Festival of Contemporary Music in Maccagno, Italy and Nief Norf based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is an associate professor of music at UMBC and a founding member of its faculty contemporary music ensemble, Ruckus.
$15 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 students, free for UMBC music majors and music faculty/staff, available online or at the box office one hour prior to the performance.

UMBC is located about 10 minutes south of the Inner Harbor along I-95. For this event, free visitor parking is available in Lot 8, directly adjacent to the Performing Arts and Humanities Building, where the entrance to the Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall is located on the second floor.
