In Spring 2018, they were featured at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage performing George Crumb’s Black Angels, which formed the centerpiece of their Spring 2018 season.
Their upcoming season will include academic residencies at Towson University, UMBC, and the University of Baltimore and a week-long residency with the El Paso Pro-Musica Young Artists Development Series. Recent recipients of a New Music USA grant, the upcoming season will also include the commission of a new work by quartet member and composer Ledah Finck in collaboration with percussionist Terry Sweeney. The Bergamot Quartet has attended the Banff Centre’s Evolution of the String Quartet program, the Diotima Academie in France, and the Next Festival of Emerging Artists and the members are graduates of the Peabody Conservatory.
