Aristophanes’ Lysistrata, Student and Faculty Reading of the Play
The Lysistrata is Aristophanes' best known comedy. It dramatizes how the women of Greece band together to go on a sex strike and take control of the Athenian Acropolis to achieve reconciliation between Athens and Sparta and an end to the Peloponnesian War.
