Kara Seidel Successfully Presents

her dissertation research proposal

The Language, Literacy, and Culture Program is pleased to announce that Kara Seidel of LLC Cohort 23 successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal on February 3, 2025.

Kara's project is titled, “Faculty as Translators: Disability Policy, Cultural Schemas, and Discourse in Higher Education."

After her presentation, Kara had a substantive discussion with her committee about the next stages of her work. The committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and helped Kara consider some key issues as she moves forward into the research and writing.
