Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office -- Fall Internship

The Office of the State's Attorney is accepting applications for Fall 2013
internships/externships for both law students and undergraduates.
Applications will be
accepted until August 9, 2013.  Applications received after that date will not be
considered.
In order for the internship experience to be of value for the intern and the Office, interns
must commit to volunteer for at least 12 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.

District Court facilities where parking is available for the general public.  A criminal

considered in the order in which they are received.
Law school interns assist prosecuting attorneys with compiling discovery, obtaining
police reports, doing legal research, listening to jail calls, assisting in court, and drafting
and filing pleadings but also assist in some administrative tasks. Law school interns will
be assigned to Circuit Court Divisions and will be located at 120 East Baltimore St.
Undergraduate interns are assigned to the District Courts or to the Juvenile Division and
assist primarily with administrative tasks including answering phones, copying,
deliveries, organizing files, etc.
Assignments to specific Divisions are made in light of the needs of the specific Divisions.
Interns will be advised of placement upon on the first day of service. Interns do not
rotate through Divisions but are assigned to a single Division for the length of their
service.  Requests for transfers among Divisions will not be granted.
